Grower's Choice
Teas we enjoy from around the world
Tea has a remarkable way of bringing people together. Across continents, growers, makers and producers share a quiet respect for the leaf and a commitment to doing things well.
It's a world held together not just by trade, but by craft.
These are teas we enjoy drinking ourselves and are proud to share with you.
Earl Grey – Grower's Choice
A timeless classic, inspired by tradition.
Earl Grey is one of the world's most celebrated teas, delicately flavoured with the fragrant citrus oil of bergamot. Although its exact origins remain uncertain, it is widely associated with Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey, and dates from the early 1830s (c.1830). The earliest Earl Grey teas are believed to have been crafted using fine Chinese black teas, long before Assam became the more common choice in many modern blends.
For our Grower's Choice collection, we've returned to that traditional style.
Our Earl Grey begins with carefully selected, high-quality loose leaf black tea from Anhui Province, China, delicately scented with 100% natural bergamot oil. The result is a beautifully balanced cup with a bright copper infusion, fresh citrus aromas and a smooth, refined finish that allows both the tea and the bergamot to shine.
This is one of the teas we return to time and again. It is equally enjoyable as a morning tea, a refreshing afternoon cup, or served alongside cakes, pastries and light savoury dishes. Delicious served black, it also takes a splash of milk beautifully, while others enjoy it with a slice of fresh lemon.
Why We Chose It
The Grower's Choice collection brings together teas we genuinely enjoy drinking ourselves. They are selected not because they are fashionable or familiar, but because they represent exceptional craftsmanship, authenticity and flavour.
This Earl Grey perfectly reflects that philosophy. By choosing a traditional Chinese black tea and natural bergamot oil, we've selected an Earl Grey that honours the elegant character of one of the world's great tea classics.

Tea Accessories & Antiques
From everyday teaware to rare tea antiques, these are pieces we use, admire and are delighted to share with fellow tea lovers.
Tea Strainer - revolving with drip tray - silver plated.
We’ve tried lots of tea strainers and we LOVE this one - its elegant, has a quality, solid feel and very effective at catching any leaves as you pour.
To use this tea strainer, tip it to one side to place the tea strainer over the cup and pour the tea, then return it to its upright position to allow the drips to fall into the tray and any leaves to be caught in the basket.
Our everyday single-cup teapot—and the one we reach for ourselves every day.
Perfect for discovering fine loose leaf teas or brewing in the Gong Fu style, this elegant little pot allows you to pour off every drop of liquor, leaving the leaves ready for a second, third, or even fourth infusion. It's one of the simplest ways to experience how a tea evolves with each brew.
Hand-blown from crystal-clear borosilicate glass, it's lightweight, beautifully balanced and surprisingly durable. The carefully shaped non-drip spout pours cleanly, while the clever in-spout coil filter keeps the leaves in the pot without the need for a separate strainer.
It's dishwasher safe, comes out sparkling every time, it's the teapot we recommend to friends—and the one we use ourselves every day.
Capacity: 150ml (5.25oz) – ideal for a single serving.
